Prior to co-founding ForeView, Philip was a Vice President at Altus Group and played a leading role in the management of both the Occupied Rating and National Transaction Teams. With a general practice surveying background, Philip is able to apply his wealth of commercial market knowledge to that of the hypothetical world of Business Rates, therefore generating substantial savings on behalf of his clients. Philip has experience in advising across all property asset types, with a particular bias towards office, industrial, healthcare, retail and leisure.

Away from work, Philip enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons. His weekends are spent coaching his son’s rugby and football teams and he remains active himself through running, football, padel tennis, skiing and golf. Being a farmer’s son from Dorset, Philip enjoys nothing more than escaping to the countryside at any given opportunity.

Sam has huge experience across a wide range of assets including industrial, high street retail, shopping centres, HQ offices, multi-storey car parks and residential developments. Sam has advised on everything from small one off voids/developments through to portfolios consisting of thousands of properties with a particular recent highlight seeing him advise on a 900,000 sq ft mixed use speculative development in the City of London.

Prior to founding Foreview, Sam’s most recent position was as a Vice President at Altus Group as a leading member of the Empty Rates Team alongside Edward Searle. Sam spends most of his time outside of work with his wife Nicola and children, Willow and Ivy, and occasionally finds time for a run or to watch sports over a beer with friends. He graduated from the University of Reading with a Land Management degree in 2005 and qualified as a MRICS surveyor in 2007.

Before setting up ForeView, Ed was a Vice-President at Altus Group, taking a lead role in the Empty Rates team. Ed has advised some of the largest investors, property developers and institutional funds on empty rates across a variety of property sectors.

With over 19 years of experience, Ed’s focus is in working closely with his clients to ensure that they receive a best-in-class service.

Outside of work, Ed’s time is spent with his wife and two children. He enjoys running, plays golf, squash and watching most sports.

Ben has an impressive track record of generating savings on business rates through his in-depth market knowledge and meticulous approach. He builds long-standing relationships with clients which is testament to his proactive, honest and personal approach. Most recently he worked at Altus Group as a Vice-President in a leading role within the Occupied Rates team alongside co-founder Phil Legg.

Ben graduated with a BSc Hons in Estate Management and became a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) in 2012. In his spare time he is a keen swimmer and regularly participates in open water swims to raise money for charity. He and his wife spend most weekends supporting their two young boys at football matches and swimming galas.

Mike worked with Sam, Phil, Ed, and Ben for eight years at Altus Group as Information and Data Management specialist, responsible for analysing datasets to identify savings opportunities for clients and prospects.

Prior to joining ForeView, Mike was Business Intelligence Manager at Diligenta, a life and pension administration subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services. Working on behalf of some of the biggest names in Finance Mike provided information and insights across the business.

Outside of the office, Mike spends his time with his partner Claire, walking their dogs Daphne and Mabel. Mike runs regularly and competes in the occasional 10k race, and plays guitar in a covers band.

Luke’s property journey started at a student lettings agency whilst at university. Following university he joined the property and estates team at the Ivy Collection, covering the restaurants in the North of England. Looking to expand his industry knowledge Luke went on to manage the operations of an Airbnb property management company where he oversaw a portfolio of 80+properties. Alongside ensuring the assets performed to the highest standard, he also advised his clients on cost savings opportunities including on council tax and business rates. This peaked Luke’s interest in the wider business rates industry and led him to ForeView’s specialist offering.

In his spare time Luke is a big film fanatic, enjoying frequent visits to the cinema as well as venturing to the Peak District for a nice long hike and being rewarded with a well-deserved pint.

Prior to joining ForeView, Thomas spent four years at Brookson, an accounting firm, where he worked as a Technical Sales Consultant supporting both B2B and B2C clients. He also spent three years at Altus Group, where he worked alongside the company’s four co-founders — Ben, Ed, Phil, and Sam — contributing to strategic growth while managing relationships with both large corporate organisations and SMEs. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys hiking around the Peak District and travelling.

Upon graduation from university, Callum spent 3 years in Digital Marketing, working his way up from a Web Content Executive to a Marketing Manager, creating effective digital marketing plans and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders in executing them.

In 2022, Callum joined Lancaster University’s UK Student Recruitment Team and was responsible for the creation of their successful School & College visits programme, bringing over 10,000 prospective students to Lancaster University, and delivering engaging presentations on the opportunities available to young people upon commencement of their A-Levels.

Outside of work, Callum has a young family whom he enjoys spending valuable time with and thrives out on the golf course too (when the weather allows!). Finally, Callum is a passionate Newcastle United fan and has attended many games both home and away, more recently across Europe to watch them in the Champions League.

Edward has worked on the 2010, 2017, 2023 and 2026 rating lists with a focus on research and sourcing information vital to the success of cases for the Check Challenge and Appeal system. He has submitted and agreed many cases with with the VOA with a particular specialism is securing reductions relating to neighbouring building works. Edward strives to provide in depth analysis and precision to assist the team in securing the best results for the ever growing ForeView client base.

Outside of work Edward is an avid enjoyer of history, art and music.  As well as a love of sports such as football and basketball.”

Suraj prides himself on delivering exceptional results and tailored advice that meets each client’s specific requirements, whilst building strong, long-term relationships based on trust and performance.

Prior to joining ForeView, Suraj was a Senior Surveyor at Altus Group, where he worked alongside the co-founders of ForeView. He later joined Knight Frank as an Associate in their Manchester Office, further strengthening his expertise in the commercial property sector.

Suraj holds an undergraduate degree from Nottingham Trent University and an MSc in Real Estate from the University of the Built Environment. He is also a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Outside of work, Suraj is a new parent and spends his time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys travelling internationally, staying active at the gym, playing football and golf.
